This is Brad, our electrician, installing a new electrical box in the storeroom. The next photo shows the drop ceiling removed above the racks.

The lower left shows the ceiling removed above the phasor. The copper lines curving towards you are the transmission lines that carry the signals to the towers. In the middle top of the photo you can make out one of the old exhaust vents that were used for the original KCBS transmitter back in the 50's and 60's. These are covered over now. In fact our new transmitters are so efficient and produce so little heat, that we simply vent them into the transmitter room. Even in summer, we typically need only two of our three air conditioners running to keep the room at a normal temperature. The heat that the transmitters put out is so low that on really cold days, the heaters have to come on to warm the room up! The last photo shows John, the ceiling guy, putting in the new ceiling tiles.
