KCBS has a long history. Starting with Doc Herrolds 15 watt radio station in San Jose back in 1909, KQW in the 1920's to 1950 and finally the 50,000 watt KCBS of today. The KCBS archives yielded some good photos but alot of them were of the promotional variety. This being an engineering tour, I wanted photos of the old studios and transmitters. I found some items and have arranged them into several sections covering the almost 90 years of KCBS. If you or someone you know happen to have pictures of KCBS or any of it predecessors, I would love to hear from you.
