You're looking at the News Intake Rack located in the traffic studio. It is used to record network news programs for later playback.
The PR&E LS-20 audio selectors allow recording from most of our incoming lines or we can patch up audio from master control. These will soon be replaced with SAS router control heads. This rack is also used for dubbing without tying up one of our production rooms.
