How I spent my spring and summer vacations

Ah yes, Spring. When a middle-aged engineers fancy turns to thoughts of... not getting stung by all the darn wasps. Retired engineer Jim Lauder took this photo several years ago and, darn it, I just like it too much not to include it somewhere. Due to the fact that the AM transmitter is located in the middle of a cow pasture, we get invaded by thousands of wasps every year. They seem to like the generator shed best. When you go in there you have to open the door and wait until the more active ones fly out. Then grab you wasp spray and wail away. This photo shows Jim kneeling down doing spotter duty while I play the part of the heavy. So far the score is Dave:5312 wasps:0.
