There they are! Our little bovine friends. We have already chased off the main herd but there are always trouble makers in any crowd. Our friend here is attempting to stare down the Jeep and force us to retreat to the safety of Highway 101. The cow in the right rear is lending moral support and will probably rush into the road in a last ditch attempt to stop us if the cow in front of us fails in her efforts.
To the left and hidden by the glare of the sun, are two more cows attempting a flanking maneuver for nefarious reasons of their own. It is a well known fact that, when attacking cars, cows like to come out of the glare of the sun to help hide themselves.
It's an old Luftwaffe tactic.
